October 28 – OXI Day: Celebrating Courage and Freedom
blog
On October 28, we celebrate OXI Day — a day that symbolizes the Greek spirit of courage, freedom, and unity.

In 1940, Greece stood firm against impossible odds and said “NO” to occupation. That “NO” — OXI — became a beacon of resistance and hope around the world.

Today, parades, flags, and celebrations across Greece and the diaspora remind us that the values of freedom, dignity, and national pride live on.

Greeks today honour this legacy by remembering that every generation faces its own challenges — and that saying “NO” to injustice, fear, or indifference can still change the course of history.

Χρόνια Πολλά! Happy OXI Day to Greeks everywhere! 🇬🇷
